Another cake! Hockey theme!

It took me a bit to wrap my head around this particular cake. It doesn't have flowers or frillies on it. It had to be 'manly'. Sooooo, here is what I came up with.

Favorite team was the Oilers, so a jersey done in oiler colours with the birthday boy's name and age on it worked out well draped over the top tier decorated as a hockey rink. There are actually hockey nets on each side. The bottom tier was covered in grey with hockey sticks and 'happy birthday'.

Hockey cake. Done and done.

Blue, Silver, and White Stars

Wow, January....that's crazy. It's been so long that I've posted that the whole format on Blogger has changed...I hope for the better.

So my goal with this blog for awhile is to just post projects that I've done with a little blurb to go with it. We'll see how far I get.

A wedding cake. Done in silver and royal blue stars. 4 tiers of chocolately goodness. Here's how it turned out.

And now from a different angle....

Cascading stars, with a star burst on top. Lots of pearl sheen on the stars and pearls. I think the bride was pretty happy with it. Rumor is it was also de-lici-ous!
